Hi! I’m Mario Real, owner of Recon Landscaping. I got my start in landscaping during my sophomore year of high school working for a local landscaping and hardscaping company. What I thought would simply be a summer job quickly became something I loved. From hardscaping and planting to running equipment and seeing projects come together, I knew this was work I wanted to continue doing.

A friend and I eventually started taking on our own jobs, going door-to-door offering leaf cleanups and snow shoveling. At the same time, I was balancing school and varsity sports. Wrestling taught me discipline and how to keep pushing when things get difficult, and I began applying that same mindset to growing the business.

 

During my senior year, I decided to fully commit to Recon Landscaping, stepping away from sports and choosing the business over the traditional college path. Since then, Recon has grown into a year-round landscaping company focused on quality landscape projects and property improvements throughout Southern Maine.
